How the Book of Esther Affects Me

How the Book of Esther Affects Me

By David Smith December 31, 2008

The Book of Esther to meditate and ponder;

How God’s in control as thoughts do wander.

Mordecai and the King and Esther on track;

As the Jews were saved and Haman had his set back.

The Book of Esther, how God did lead;

His name is not mentioned; but his handiwork in deed.

That is so thrilling; as plots and sup plots came to light;

The eternal God; his way is right.

Haman in line so proud and all;

And so puffed up for his greatest fall.

The gallows made it clear; as Haman ordered it built;

Pride and arrogance; and how emotions did shift.

The Jews were spared as humility rose to the top;

All in God’s hand, the power He got.

Read the Book and See what I mean;

The invisible power so real and so keen.

  1. Dear David,
    It was so neat the way that Haman made those gallows for another and he is the one that got hanged!
    “Vengeance is mine saith the Lord, eh David?
