Lake of Fire is Real

Lake of Fire is Real

By David Smith May 29, 2009

Who was not found in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.

If there is nothing to be saved from: Why elevate salvation higher?

On the Cross, the suffering, the death and the shame

If no heaven or hell: Why would a Lord sacrifice in vain.

If everything is man-made: we are corrupt.

To create a God and lie; man’s heart will destruct.

Since Christ died for the sinner; and salvation is free.

Lake of Fire is real. There is Blessed Hope for you and me.

To be found in the Book of Life as we scan God’s Holy Word;

Perfect without sin; God’s standards appear so absurd.

All have sinned and fallen short of His Glory.

The wages of sin is death; Christ became the sacrifice

The Good News; the Gospel Story.

Lake of Fire is real; let’s focus on Christ.

Faith alone; salvation His way; that will suffice.

With His fingers he put the stars in place.

The Law, the Ten Commandments;

The perfect law we must face.

The works of the law; we became the slave.

To admit the guilt we live past the grave.

To only accept his finished work on the cross.

He did it all; his bountiful love comes across.

Only believe, though faith alone.

Works will follow; as he guides his own.

Who was not found in the book of Life was cast out.

Now is the time to let the Gospel shout.

The Spanish Gospel Meeting

The Spanish Gospel Meeting

By David Smith May 24, 2009

The bilingual service started that Sunday Night

He spoke with conviction. Words flowed so right.

The rhythm, the beat, and the cadence was grand.

The audience was captivated in the palm of his hand.

Emphasis was there, hand gestures made sense;

He spoke with authority; the message was intense.

The Spirit of God moved throughout.

Honesty and sincerity; the truth hung about.

The message was clear; the assembly was quiet.

As he spoke in Spanish; to elevate Christ to the Highest.

He loves me too; Sacrificed for me.

Faith alone; God’s salvation is free.

O what a message more than tongue can tell.

Believe his way or eternity in Hell.

His voice was quiet; his conclusion was calm

Finally; the decision;

O Happy Day was the song.

First Five Books compares to Last Five Books

First Five books compares to Last Five Books

Inspired by Bob Surgenor

By David Smith May 28, 2009

The Church is one foundation, eternal without end

In the beginning, God; the Word; as flesh

The Father did send.

In the beginning; the word and it became flesh we hear

What an awesome God so vivid and so clear.

Moses laid the foundation, the first five books we read.

John put on the roof. Finished, was Christ’s deed.

As John’s pen came to rest.

Nothing to be added; God’s word is blessed.

The last five books are credited to John.

In the beginning, the word, the foundation love song

Four rives flow out of the Garden of Eden.

Just like the Gospel. Illustrations of Christ to be see’n.

And like the Gospel, as one Book is unique.

Just like the river one parallels so deep

As that river flows on its journey it parallels with John;

Bit different, and unique, but hits the same eternal song.

Seeing all the parallels of stories scattered throughout.

To only believe the bible. Let His evidence shout.

As the bible comes to light, my enthusiasm burns.

All the passion of God’s word;

Walk, His way and learn.

So we see the bible from beginning to end time

All the pages in between, to claim the Saviour mine.
