“For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” Ephesians 2:8, 9

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb 12:2

He appears like a doctor with his black bag in hand

And all the equipment to get to the Promised Land;

The Word of the LORD; his compass and hope

Discipline and faith on Christ’s work to cope;

He studies God’s way, on a journey to see;

The finished work of the Cross for all eternity;

And then to the study, in, at the hall;

Stepping forward in faith; to Christ with his all;

This life is temporary, in an instant, it will fade.

To be clothed in God’s righteousness;

His way is made.

He looks like a doctor; he can only point the way;

Christ is the author and finisher of the faith;

His word does clearly say.

It’s all internal and Christ knows the heart.

He knows the motives; to only believe is our part.
